Consumer Participation

AIMES agency will help promote continuous independence and for each consumer the ability to choose their own SLS vendor and help hire their support staff.

AIMES will invite the consumer into the process and let him/her know what to expect during the interview with the staff candidate. No formal interview questionnaire sheet will be provided to consumer during the interview process, if the consumer desires, he/she can ask questions of the candidate anytime during the interview. Upon the conclusion of the interview, AIMES will discuss the interview with the consumer and encourage any feedback the consumer may offer.

Receiving feedback will help AIMES and the consumer make a clear decision if the proposed support staff is a “good match.” To find compatible staffing for each consumer, AIMES encourages the consumer to participate in the hiring of his/her personal support staff.
